Isaiah 1:4-6

⁴ Alas, sinful nation,
People heavy with iniquity,
^(A)Seed of evildoers,
Sons who ^(B)act corruptly!
They have ^(C)forsaken Yahweh;
They have ^(D)spurned the Holy One of Israel;
They have ^[a]become estranged ^[b]from Him.

⁵ Where will you be stricken again,
As you ^(E)continue in your rebellion?
The whole head is ^(F)sick,
And the whole heart is faint.
^6 (G)From the sole of the foot even to the head
There is ^(H)nothing sound in it,
Only bruises, wounds, and raw wounds,
^(I)Not pressed out, not bandaged,
Not softened with oil.
